Situated in a luxuriant private lemon-orchard on the small beach which was supposedly the ancient harbour of Solunto (as the wrecks on the soundings of the Scoglio di Formica in front of it suggest) the Residence has a view of the Eolie Islands (which are visible 30 miles away), the harbour of Porticello, ancient Solunto and Solanto Castle as well. The town (Santa Flavia) is less than 1 Km away and provides all kinds of shops and entertainments to cater to all tastes (an open-air cinema, pizza-bars, restaurants, sandwich and pancake bars, discos). Porticello’s important fishing harbour close-by often houses cruising yachts. At a distance of less than 3 Kms (at Casteldaccia) the quick motorway connection makes it possible to rapidly reach the most appealing tourist resorts in Sicily: Palermo (20 Kms) Cefalù (50 Kms) Agrigento (120 Kms) Selinunte (120Kms) Taormina (200 Kms), mount Etna (220 Kms), the Madonie Natural Park (80 Kms) the Nebrods Natural Park (140 Kms), Milazzo (180 Kms) from which the Eolie Islands can be reached. A taxi terminal and the railway station are 700 mts away. At 100 mts, there is a bus stop for buses to and from Palermo.Tastefully furnished, they are divided into 3 two-storey units separated from one another by wide spaces decked with more than 60 different varieties of trees, flowers and water plants.
In addition to the common facilities and amenities (a large barbecue with a stone table, outside showers, launderettes, a wide private parking area, a playground and the possibility of taking charming walks through the lemon orchard) every flat is endowed with a large living - dining-room with a TV set and a cooking area, a fridge, one double bedroom and 1 or 2 single ones, a bathroom with shower, hot water, independent heating, a wallsafe and large private terraces (25-45 sq. mts) all of them charmingly looking out over the garden and the sea, which is less than 80 mts away. Nearby, mountainbikes are available for rental with the possibility of guided excursions. At 1 Km., there is school for water-skiing, sailing, surfing and scuba diving with guided excursions in underwater archeological areas. Diving equipement can be rented.

Die Ferienhäuser liegen in einem weitläufigen Zitronenhain, der an einen kleinen privaten Sandstrand grenzt, der einst vielleicht der Hafen des antiken Solunto war, wie man an Hand der gefundenen †berreste am vorgelagerten Riff "la formica" (die Ameise) vermutet. Von den Wohnungen hat man einen traumhaften Blick auf die in ca. 30 Seemeilen vorgelagerten Eolischen Inseln, auf den Hafen von Porticello, das Antike Solunto auf dem Berg "Catalfano" und das Schloss von Solanto. Das Dorf "Santa Flavia" ist ca. 1 km entfernt. Sie finden dort alle Geschäfte des täglichen Bedarfs sowie zahlreiche Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten (Freiluftkino, Pizzerien, Restaurants, Eisdielen, Crèperien und auch Diskotheken). Im nahen Fischerhafen von Porticello kšnnen auch Yachten anlegen. In weniger als 3 km erreichen Sie die Autobahn in "Casteldaccia", von wo Sie dann alle wichtigen Ausflugsziele Siziliens bequem erreichen können: Palermo 20 km, Cefalù 50 km, Agrigento 120 km, Selinunte 120 km, Taormina 200 km, der Etna 220 km, der Naturpark der Madonien 80 km, die Nebroden 140 km, bzw. Milazzo 180 km, von wo Sie zu den Eolischen Inseln übersetzen können. In 700 Meter Entfernung befindet sich der Bahnhof (von dort 15 Minuten bis Palermo mit dem Zug) sowie ein Taxenstand; in 100 meter Entfernung hält der Autobus nach Palermo.Die 10 Ferienwohnungen sind sehr geschmackvoll angelegt und aufgeteilt in drei Häuser, die wiederum durch weitläufige Grünanlagen voneinander getrennt sind. In den Grünanlagen befinden sich mehr als 60 verschiedene Bäume, Pflanzen, Kräuter oder Wasserpflanzen des Mittelmeerraums. Außer den gemeinsam nutzbaren Einrichtungen (ein großer Außengrill mit gemauertem Tisch, Außenduschen, Waschmaschinen, ein grosser Parkplatz, Spielplatz sowie Spazierwege im Zitronenhain) hat jedes einzelne Appartement ein großes Wohnzimmer mit Kochecke und Kühlschrank, ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und eingebautem Tresor sowie ein weiteres Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten, eine Bad/WC, Warmwasser, eigene Heizung und großzügige Terrassen oder Balkone (25-45 qm) mit dem herrlichen Blick auf das in 80 Metern entfernte Meer. Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit, Mountain-Bikes auszuleihen und damit begleitete Ausflüge zu organisieren. In 1 km Entfernung ist zudem eine Schule für Wasserski, Segelboote, Surfen oder Tauchen, in der man das notwendige Material auch ausleihen und begleitete archäologische Tauchgänge buchen kann sowie in 4 km Entfernung eine Reitschule. Vor Ort wird auch Italienisch-Unterricht in Gruppen oder allein von der renomiertesten Sprachschule Siziliens angeboten.
